The Grandstream GWN7664E Wi-Fi 6 access point is an enterprise-grade solution designed for high-density client environments such as businesses, multi-storey buildings, and commercial locations. This indoor 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6 access point achieves an aggregate wireless throughput of up to 6Gb/s and a wired throughput of up to 5Gb/s. Thanks to 4x4:4 MU-MIMO technology with DL/UL OFDMA and a coverage range of up to 175 metres, it can connect up to 512 concurrent client devices and maintain stable performance even under demanding conditions. Its interoperability is confirmed by its Wi-Fi Alliance certification.

Wi-Fi 6 performance and speed
The access point operates on the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands using the Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) standard. The total wireless throughput reaches 6Gb/s, split between 4800Mb/s on the 5GHz band and 1147Mb/s on the 2.4GHz band. It integrates advanced features to efficiently serve a large number of devices in dense networks. MU-MIMO and OFDMA technologies increase throughput and reduce latency when communicating with many clients simultaneously. The Beamforming feature actively focuses the signal directly towards connected devices, improving connection stability and range.
Coverage, capacity and network management
A single unit provides signal coverage for an area of up to 175m. Optimised hardware and software enable the access point to serve up to 512 concurrent client devices at once. For network segmentation and enhanced security, you can configure up to 32 separate networks (SSIDs). Each network can have its own rules, captive portal for guests (Guest Zone) or bandwidth limits. In addition, the Quality of Service (QoS) feature lets you prioritise network traffic for delay-sensitive applications such as video calls or online games.
Advanced security and central management
Network and data protection is ensured by modern WPA3 encryption and support for older WPA2-PSK and WPA2-Enterprise standards. The access point implements protection against hacking attacks, a secure boot system, and critical data protection using digital signatures. Each device has a unique security certificate and a randomly generated default password to prevent unauthorised access. Network management is made easy with the built-in controller for managing up to 50 local GWN APs, the GDMS Networking cloud platform, or the local GWN Manager software.
Connectivity options
For high-speed wired connectivity, the device offers two 2.5Gbit/s ports, delivering an aggregate throughput of up to 5Gb/s. Power is supplied by active PoE+ according to the 802.3at standard, which means that a single Ethernet cable carries both data and power. This feature, along with automatic power type detection, significantly simplifies installation. The included mounting kit allows for easy wall or ceiling mounting. Because Power over Ethernet (PoE+) simplifies installation, there is no need to run a separate power cable.
