Milk thistle and its key properties
Milk thistle (Silybum marianum) is a herb known especially for its beneficial effects on the liver. The main active ingredient of this plant is silymarin, which has strong antioxidant effects. Milk thistle is traditionally used to promote liver detoxification, protect liver cells from damage and regenerate liver tissue. In addition, it can contribute to better blood sugar control, improve lipid profile and support overall digestion.
