- Vitamin C - This is one of the most important vitamins and performs a number of roles in the body. As humans cannot produce it themselves, they are dependent on dietary intake. It is indispensable for the health of bones, teeth, cartilage, ligaments, blood vessels, and gums as it contributes to the formation of collagen, their basic component.
