Electro-galvanisation
Electro-galvanised plating offers a more attractive, coloured finish compared to hot-dip galvanising. It provides corrosion protection for products designed for dry interiors where moisture is rare. The zinc coating thickness is approximately 12 microns.
The electro-galvanising process
Similar to hot-dip galvanising, the product is thoroughly cleaned and prepared before plating begins. The products are then immersed in a zinc salt bath connected to a DC power source. The pure zinc dissolves, migrates to the cathode and deposits onto its surface.
