Electro-galvanising
The electro-galvanised finish is more aesthetically pleasing and colourful compared to hot-dip galvanising. It provides corrosion protection for products intended for dry indoor areas where moisture is rare. The zinc layer thickness is around 12 microns.
The electro-galvanising process
Similar to hot-dip galvanising, the product is properly cleaned and prepared before galvanising begins. The products are then immersed in a zinc salt bath and connected to a direct current source. This causes the pure zinc to dissolve and migrate to the cathode, coating its surface.
