Fiskars X36 L splitting axe is designed for efficient processing of large logs. Its design is optimised for maximum impact force thanks to careful balance. The lightweight FiberComp™ shaft absorbs shock while remaining extremely strong. The hooked end of the shaft prevents the axe from slipping out of your hand, which increases safety during work. This axe combines high performance with durability.
The axe head is made of forged carbon steel, which gives it high strength. For maximum durability and blade life, the axe blade is double-hardened. Its surface is covered with a special coating that reduces friction, facilitates penetration into the wood and protects the steel from corrosion. The blade geometry with a wider edge and splitting wedge is optimised for easy splitting of even tough logs. The balance of the entire axe supports high swing speed and intensifies the force of each blow.
The axe shaft is made of lightweight but extremely strong FiberComp™ composite material, which resists moisture and temperature changes. Its ergonomically curved shape fits naturally in your hand, and the hooked end acts as a stop to prevent slipping. The SoftGrip™ non-slip surface finish ensures a firm and comfortable grip under all conditions. In addition, the shaft material effectively absorbs vibrations and shocks generated during impact. The orange colour increases the visibility of the tool in the workplace.
A key safety feature is the virtually indestructible head and shaft joint, which prevents the blade from separating during work. The lightweight yet tough FiberComp™ shaft withstands high loads without the risk of breaking. For safe storage and transport, use the included blade guard, which protects the blade and the surroundings from damage. The shaft also features a hole at the end for easy hanging.
