Using the Homematic IP Pivot Button Switch
The wall-mounted rotary pushbutton (HmIP-WRCR) offers flexible installation options and wide modularity of use in a classic design that handles several tasks simultaneously. The flexible rotating ring allows not only a smooth change of light intensity, but also manual switching on or off of the lighting by pressing the rotating ring. By pressing a button in the ring, the controller provides a diverse range of solutions from simple commands to complex smart home control scenarios. Thanks to battery operation, the button can be unobtrusively placed or installed in the desired location.
Functions
The intelligent remote rotary switch (HmIP-WRCR) provides two channels that can distinguish between long and short presses, allowing, for example, to switch lights on or off or to activate or deactivate the ECO heating mode. The ring rotation control and button can be customised to your individual needs via the Homematic IP mobile app. Depending on the assigned program, the rotary switch (HmIP-WRCR) can control multiple devices and functions of the Homematic IP smart home. The control ring and the button can be independently configured to conveniently control already connected (programmed) devices.
System operation
The connection of the wall-mounted rotary switch (HmIP-WRCR) to the Central Unit (HmIP-HAP) offers convenient setup and control of the comprehensive Homematic IP smart home system via an intuitive app (for Android and iOS in CZ) designed for smartphones. The Mobile App enables instant response to messages and alerts from your smart home system and connects all Homematic IP devices via a free, unlimited cloud that allows you to set up and control the system from anywhere in the world, transfer important information and update device software and firmware, and pass configuration and operational commands from the Homematic IP App to individual smart home devices.

When creating profiles and scenarios, you can take into account all your needs in terms of facility security requirements, automation, heating, and a range of other criteria depending on your priorities. The Homematic IP smart home system, of which the wall remotes (HmIP-WRCx) are part, supports voice control and communication with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. For safe, stable and reliable communication, the system has its own unique radio technology between the devices.
Easy to assemble
Wireless communication and battery operation offer the option of simple installation without the need for wiring, meaning the wall-mounted remote can be installed through a standard flush-mounted box or placed freely anywhere. Fixing with mounting material (dowels, screws) or fixing with the supplied adhesive strips. Power is provided by two AAA pencil batteries with a long life of up to 3 years. Button can be integrated into the 55 mm Battery Component Stand (HmIP-DS55)or operate without batteries in combination with the 55 mm battery component power supply (HmIP-BPS-2). Open design for integration into multiple third-party frame types (e.g. Berker, Elsa, Gira, Merten, Jung, etc. ).
