Homematic IP Solar Alarm Siren HmIP-ASIR-O - outdoor
The wireless alarm siren designed for outdoor use is part of the Homematic IP smart home system, the siren has two powerful 100 dB acoustic signal generators and five highly luminous LEDs housed in a weatherproof enclosure. Connection via radio waves, control via Android and iOS app in Czech, English and other languages. It works in combination with the HmIP-HAP Central Unit and has a combination of battery and solar power.
Outdoor wireless alarm siren for Homematic IP smart home system
Sirens are an essential part of the security system. They reliably warn you of danger, scare off intruders and attract the attention of those around you. The siren takes less than two seconds to activate a strong alarm and bright LED indicators in response to the alarm signal. An alarm can be triggered, for example, by a breach of the space monitored by the motion sensor or by a window or door under the protection of the HmIP-SWDx Homematic IP Window and Door Sensor. In this case, the siren will sound an alarm and you will be informed of the event via push notifications from the Homematic IP mobile app on your smartphone.

System operation
The wireless connection of Homematic IP devices to the HmIP-HAP Central Unit offers convenient setup and control of a complex smart home system using an intuitive app (for Android and iOS in CZ) designed for smartphones. The mobile app enables instant response to messages and alerts from your smart home system and connects all Homematic IP devices via a free, unlimited cloud, which allows you to set up and control the system from anywhere in the world, transfer important information and update the software and firmware of the devices, and pass configuration and operational commands from the Homematic IP app to individual smart home devices.
Signal system status via solar powered outdoor siren
The alarm mode activation and deactivation tones are quite useful. For example, a short beep from the siren buzzers will remind you that the premises of the home are guarded and the exit delay is active. The risk of an unwanted alarm is thus significantly reduced. The use of the siren is widely configurable. You can select the duration of the audible alarm (3 - 6 minutes) and the choice between different audible alarm tones depending on the events.
Solar Power
Thanks to the sustainable power supply via a powerful solar cell in conjunction with a set of 3 pcs of replaceable rechargeable NiMH type batteries, no other alternative power source is required for the operation of the outdoor siren, yet the siren is equipped with a backup micro USB port for the possibility of powering or restoring the battery capacity. Battery power ensures reliable operation even at night or on days with no solar activity. The siren requires minimal maintenance and offers adaptable use.
Variable alarm event indication
The siren has 9 different alarm tones which can be freely configured depending on the alarm input defined by the added Homematic IP smart home element. For example, alerts for building intrusion, fire danger, flooding of the monitored area, etc. However, an acoustic tone may not be desirable for all types of scenarios and events. For this reason, the acoustic tone can be deactivated in Homematic IP and only the optical signaling can be set. Again, the user has a choice of 4 LED light effects. In short, it can choose the appropriate signalling method depending on the nature of the alarm.
Protection in case of sabotage
If an intruder gets to the sensor, the tamper contact reliably detects the tampering and triggers an alarm. Inter-device communication ensures that the alarm is triggered even without an internet connection. If your smart home security solution includes a Homematic IP siren (outdoor or indoor), the siren will remain in alarm mode in the event of sabotage or destruction of the HmIP-HAP Central Unit.
Wide range of applications
The battery components of the Homematic IP system including the wireless magnetic window and door sensor are ideal for all-round protection in the home, offices, Bytech, cottages, etc. During installation and when creating profiles and scenarios in the mobile app, you can take into account all your needs in terms of security requirements, automation, heating and a range of other criteria depending on your priorities. In a simple way, you can gradually expand, control and automate your smart home system.

With the Homematic IP app, everything is free, intuitive and easy to use. With the Homematic IP app for smartphones, you can handle even seemingly complex configurations in a matter of minutes. Once connected to the central unit, the app becomes the intelligent hub of your installation, allowing you to control and configure the management of your entire smart home, whether you're at home, at work or on the go. The free mobile application does not require registration and is designed for smart devices with Android and iOS operating systems in Czech localization. It is there to constantly adapt to modern trends, optimise and evolve according to your wishes and needs.
Easy installation in just a few moments
Installation of the Homematic IP outdoor alarm siren is very simple and can be done by anyone. Wireless communication and the combination of solar-battery operation offers the possibility of simple installation without the need for wiring. This means that the siren can also be placed in standard hard-to-reach locations. An integral part of the siren is a bracket for quick and easy installation.
Voice control
In addition to manual control and remote control via mobile app, the Homematic IP smart home system, of which the wall thermostats are part, also offers voice control and communication with Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and Home Connect Plus technology. For secure, stable and reliable communication between devices, the system has its own unique radio technology with encrypted security, making it the first smart home system whose protocol, IT and data security are regularly tested and certified by the independent VDE institute.
