The Korg EK-50 L keyboard is equipped with high-performance speakers that can easily provide sound for your performance in a café or a small event for a solo player, without you having to carry a heavy PA system. To take full advantage of the powerful sound system, the keyboard is complemented by a wide range of sounds from all possible musical genres. The body of the instrument now has a black rubberised finish, which is not only elegant but also resistant to wear and tear. The EK-50 L delivers best-in-class sound and limitless enjoyment with immediacy and ease. The EK50 L has the same great features, but double the speaker power. It has a specially designed speaker system capable of delivering twice the power of the EK-50 and can run on batteries just like the EK-50. Its compact size makes it easy to take the keyboard on the go. The EK-50 L has an open-ended concept, which lets you add up to 98 more styles via a USB flash drive. It also includes 64 versions of 'Music Styles', which contain preset Styles, sounds and the tempo of well-known songs. Just choose one and you can start playing your favourite songs straight away or improvise.

Accompaniment music styles

Automatic Styles provide a complete band to accompany you as you play. From the moment you first press a key, this band comes to life, inspiring you with its lively musical phrases. As you become more experienced, you can gradually use more features. The EK-50 L offers automatic musical accompaniment in the form of a variety of Styles, enabling you to generate a rich and complex musical backing with the press of a single key (or chord). The keyboard offers various Styles covering more than 280 musical genres from around the world, each with four different variations (from simple to complex) as well as an original intro and ending. You can easily switch between these variations and individual Style elements with the press of a button, even while playing. The STS (Single Touch Select) function is also practical, automatically selecting recommended settings when switching between Styles. It's the perfect way to pair sounds and Styles, so you always have the optimal settings at hand and can concentrate on your own playing, practising and performing.

Wide selection of different sounds

The EK-50 L contains over 702 realistic sounds including pianos, wind instruments and drums. You can always choose exactly the sound you need. The Split function also lets you divide the keyboard and play with different sounds at the same time - so you can play piano with your right hand and add bass with your left. The combination of different sounds makes the keyboard not only very fun, but also creative.

Intuitive and clear controls

In the centre of the control panel is an easy-to-read display that shows the currently set sound and Style in large letters. The switches for the individual functions are illuminated with their own LEDs for better clarity. There is also a 'Grand Piano' button on the control panel, which you can use to return to the basic grand piano sound at any time.

Built-in speakers for instant enjoyment

The instrument has built-in stereo speakers with a power of 2× 10W. These can provide sound not only for playing the instrument itself, but you can also play audio from an external device connected to the input jack. The included accessories also feature a music stand and a power adapter, so you can start playing right out of the box. The EK-50 L can be powered by AA batteries (sold separately), so you can play it practically anywhere.

Play your favourite songs while you play

If you have a new musical idea, you can record it on the EK-50 L straight away and then save it. In Song mode, you can play not only your own songs, but also internal demo recordings, MP3 or WAV audio data, or SMF (Standard MIDI File) data stored on a standard USB flash drive. You can also play the instrument while these songs are playing.
