The compact M-Audio BX5 BT studio monitor pair combines the traditional reference sound of the BX series with modern wireless connectivity and an advanced DSP processor for efficient and fast sound processing. This is a master-slave configuration, which means one speaker is active and powers the second, passive monitor. The speakers offer a total output of up to 120W RMS, making them ideal for home studios, content creation, video editing, gaming, and casual high-quality music listening. Both monitors use a two-way design with a 5" Kevlar woofer and a 1" silk tweeter with an effective conical waveguide. Convenient wireless content streaming from phones or tablets is enabled by the modern Bluetooth 5.0 interface. The speaker cabinets are made of MDF with an elegant vinyl finish and feature a rear bass reflex port, which helps to effectively reproduce low frequencies from as low as 49Hz. The package includes foam isolation pads that improve the acoustic properties of the speakers.

M-Audio BX5 BT Offers Powerful Sound in a Compact Design
The compact BX5 BT speakers use a 5" Kevlar woofer with an extended bass range and a 1" soft-dome tweeter surrounded by a specially shaped waveguide that ensures wide listening angles (120° horizontal / 90° vertical). The built-in 120-watt Class-D bi-amp amplifier provides you with powerful sound, a higher dynamic range, and a cleaner response across the entire frequency spectrum. The rear of both speakers features a circular Sub-Frequency Port optimised for deep frequencies and better bass performance.
Effective Digital Signal Processing (DSP)
The BX5 BT monitors process sound digitally using an internal processor (DSP), which controls the frequency crossover, built-in equaliser, and room correction. If you connect an analogue signal to the monitors via the 6.3mm TRS connectors on the rear, the Burr-Brown A/D converter immediately converts it to a digital format. This technology allows for precise signal adjustments without the noise and distortion that can occur with traditional analogue filters. Thanks to the combination of the Burr-Brown converter, DSP processor, and Class-D amplifier, the monitors operate with maximum precision, so you can create mixes that will sound great on a club PA system or in a car stereo.
Fine-Tune Your Sound with the Equaliser
The M-Audio BX5 BT speakers feature a five-band parametric equaliser that allows for detailed adjustment of bass, mids, and treble using the M-Audio Studio Control mobile app. The front panel of the speaker has a switch for preset modes: FLAT, HYPE, and CUSTOM. FLAT mode provides an uncoloured, studio-quality sound, while HYPE emulates the sound of popular speaker types (headphones, headsets, car stereos). In CUSTOM mode, you can use the app to set the equaliser exactly to your taste, music genre, or room acoustics. Once you've perfected the sound, the settings are saved to user presets.
