Akčná adventúra ponúkla fascinujúci pohľad na v hernom priemysle do tej doby nie celkom prebádanú tematiku talianskej mafie fungujúcej v Spojených štátoch počas prohibície. Hráči, ktorí si pred viac než dekádou zamilovali atmosféru a silný príbeh Tommyho Angela, tak neskrývali nadšenie, keď bol oznámený remake s názvom Mafia: Definitive Edition.
