Tulsi & Wild Africa may not seem like a completely traditional tea due to its composition, but you should definitely try it. Since we have enriched the honey-sweet rooibos with the wonderfully fragrant Tulsi basil this time, finely chopped pieces of beetroot, cinnamon, pink pepper and pieces of ginger, you can look forward to a huge portion of tannins, alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, vitamins and minerals. And you' ll really enjoy it.

The history of Rooibos tea begins in 1804, when the Jew Benjamin Ginsberg convinced the Cape Boers to collect the leaves of the wild herb. Later they began to cultivate them. The original " technology" of collecting, drying and preparing the tea plant comes from South African natives, probably directly from the Maasai. The first harvest is carried out in the second year. After harvesting, the tea raw material is subjected to fermentation and then pasteurized. Tea is popular in the USA, Germany, Switzerland and has recently even penetrated Japan.
Rooibos is a perennial plant with finely needle-like leaves, growing up to 1 meter tall. Originally from the Cedarberg region in the Western Cape of South Africa. The subject of use is the stem, collected by cutting about 35 cm above the ground (Herba aspalathi - Rooibos). The tea is fermented, similar to black tea (or red).
Rooibos tea contains high-quality tannins (4.5 to 6% compared to 8 to 15% in black tea) and a large amount of trace elements and minerals - iron, copper, zinc, magnesium, manganese, potassium, calcium, fluorine, molybdenum and others. We also find a substance of a special chemical nature, called aspalathin, a large amount of flavonoids, organic acids, vitamin C and many other substances, whose research continues.
Rooibos is on the border between food and medicinal products in terms of its effects. There are no known contraindications or serious side effects after its administration. Therefore, it is also suitable for children, pregnant and lactating women . It does not contain caffeine or its derivatives.
Rooibos (min. 65.5%), Holy Basil (min. 10%), finely chopped beetroot, cinnamon pieces, pink pepper, ginger pieces (min. 5%), flavoring.
