Parchant

Audiobook Bastard, author Alexey Osadchuk, translated by Kateřina Niklová. Read by Ondřej Novák, directed by Jakub Tabery. Last Life #1 Reincarnating into a new world with all your memories and climbing from the bottom to the very top? Why not! Jack is living a pretty contented life. He has rare abilities that earn him a decent living, because when someone rich gets into trouble and needs a little job done, they hire the “Shadier”, and the problem is taken care of quickly and discreetly. But all it takes is one personal problem, and suddenly Jack is staring death in the face. No one is more surprised than he is when Death, amused by Jack's escapades, offers him one more chance: another world, the cooling body of a freshly deceased young man, and the opportunity to live out his next, final life in the reincarnation cycle with all the memories of the one that just ended. Jack would be a fool to refuse. But maybe he should have asked first what exactly Death meant when she said Jack's last life would be fun… ALEXEY OSADCHUK Alexey Osadchuk was born in 1979 in Ukraine. In the late nineties, he and his family moved to the south of Spain, where he lives to this day. Alexey has been an avid reader since childhood. He devoured adventure novels by Edgar Rice Burroughs, Jack London, and Arthur Conan Doyle. In 2010, he wrote his first fantasy novel, which was immediately accepted by one of Russia's leading publishing houses, Alpha Book. He was also a passionate online gamer, which prompted him to write a story about a man who starts playing an MMORPG in the hope of raising money for his daughter's heart surgery. The first book in this series was published in 2013 by Russia's largest publishing house, EKSMO. The English translation of the entire series is now available worldwide. Critics call Alexey “one of the best contemporary LitRPG authors”. ONDŘEJ NOVÁK Ondřej Novák (1985) was born in Prague. He graduated in drama from DAMU and in journalism from Charles University.
