A cable designed to connect a SAS controller with four Serial ATA/SAS devices. The cable is 1m. long, so it can seamlessly reach across the entire desk. SAS is an upgraded generation of SCSI interfaces that improves the performance of storage systems and improves their availability. Extends the functionality of parallel SCSI hard drives and one of the main advantages of this technology is the possibility of integration of SAS 3.5-inch Serial ATA drives into one device. This option offers an exceptional flexibility and scalability. Full-duplex architecture ensures that the storage device delivers data to the host system at the same time as the host system sends additional commands to the storage device. Dual-port architecture allows an easy fail-over connection. Disks with this interface can be used for example in database and high-transaction applications, high data availability, data archiving or backup.
