Each cooking zone has a residual heat indicator that alerts you to its temperature. This indicator protects you from burns and prevents damage to delicate cookware and other items.

Perfect protection
The cooking zones have overheating protection, which automatically switches off the heating in case of extreme loads, preventing the ceramic glass from overheating. The Miele KM 6520 FL hob also switches off automatically if an unwanted object is placed on it or liquid is spilt.

For perfect protection, each power level has a precisely defined maximum operating time. If a cooking zone heats up for an unusually long time without a change in power level, it switches off automatically to prevent damage to the Miele KM 6520 FL hob.
Stop & Go
Nothing will burn
If an unexpected visitor arrives, simply press the Stop & Go button to reduce the power of all cooking zones to level 1. You can then leave the Miele KM 6520 FL hob unattended for a while without anything burning or boiling over.
Practical timer
Set the cooking time
The Miele KM 6520 FL has a practical timer to make daily cooking easier. You can set the cooking time for a specific cooking zone, which will automatically switch off when the time is up. The minute minder can also be used independently of the cooking zones.
Locking function
To prevent the power levels from being changed during cooking, the Miele KM 6520 FL hob is equipped with a locking function. It also has a child lock to prevent the appliance from being switched on accidentally or without permission.
Auto heat-up
This clever, energy-saving feature of the Miele KM 6520 FL hob automatically sets a high initial power level and then reduces it to a lower temperature for simmering. This means you won't miss the right moment to reduce the power, and your food will never burn again.
Recall function
If the Miele KM 6520 FL hob is switched off by mistake, you can restart the appliance within 10 seconds, and your previous power and time settings will remain active. This allows you to continue cooking without interruption.
Individual settings
You can easily customise the basic settings of the Miele KM 6520 FL ceramic hob to suit your individual requirements. For example, you can change the response speed of the sensor controls.
