How does measurement work?

The Mio Slice wristband gives you a basic overview of the current heart rate, sleep duration, burned calories, distance and number of steps reached. The wristband tracks the heart rate at four different time intervals depending on what activity you are doing. It automatically recognizes the type of activity, so there is no need to manually activate it.

PAI - revolution in personal activity tracking

The Mio SLICE is not just another fitness tracker that just counts your steps regardless of intensity level of the activity, the physical load and especially the different personal atributes of each user. Instead of that, it carefully monitores your heart rate throughout the day considering your sex, age, height and weight and evaluates your daily activity using the PAI (Personal Activity Intelligence) score. 

Stay fit in any age

If you want to stay fit up to high age, it is recommended to keep the "PAI score" at least at 100 points for period of 7 days. This basic target value is always the same, but its calculation is unique for each user. For your health it is not important how many steps you take or if you prefer yoga to dumbbells. The most important is how much heart you put into it!  

Algorithm based on scientific research

The PAI personal activity evaluation system is based on the results of the HUNT research performed by the Faculty of Medicine of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. This unique research has been observing 45,000 people for more than 25 years in terms of physical activity and other factors that have a beneficial effect on health and longevity. The Mio company has transformed the incredible amount of collected data into an algorithm for calculating PAI.

For better sleep

Just like other activities, the wristband can monitor your sleep and detect its individual phases. When you wake up, you can view your sleep phases in the PAI 2 application. This report helps you understand the sleep cycle and can help you optimize your sleep patterns.

Elegant and functional design

The Mio SLICE wristband in a decent design does not interfere with your everyday activities. You can control the device with a single button to activate a clear OLED display and scroll through various functions. You can also activate the display by simply turning your wrists toward you.

Mio PAI 2 mobile application

The Mio PAI 2 mobile application ensures full functionality and device setup. Data is synchronized continuously and the application generates reports of all-day activity, sleep, exercise and PAI score. For security reasons, it is possible to connect one Mio SLICE wristband to only one device. Wireless communication between devices works via Bluetooth 4.0.
