A network switch is an active network element that connects individual devices or other network elements. It is designed for coordinating network traffic. The Netgear GS108LP is made to be installed on the desk or wall. This type has a switching capacity of 16 Gb/s. 10/100Base-T technology enables data transfer with a speed of up to 100 Mbit/s. 10/100/1000Base-T technology allows file transfer with a speed of up to 1000 Mbit/s. The switch dimensions are 236 × 102 × 27mm. QoS or Quality of Service technology makes sure the switch doesn't get overloaded, and it also allows you to control end station priority. The NETGEAR device works with PoE technology, which provides power and signal connection to end devices with just one LAN cable. Integrated LAN ports support a bandwidth speed of up to 1 Gbit. The weight of the switch is 600g.
