Years ago, former Google employees were looking for a way for their children to use technology for their active development, rather than just passively consuming digital content. The result of this research is the interactive tool Osmo developing a wide range of children's knowledge with the help of modern technology and augmented reality.The principle of each game is based on learning and development in different areas such as. Vocabulary and reading, basic programming, math and numbers, critical thinking and problem solving, creativity and imagination. Last but not least, Osmo is also a great tool for learning a foreign language in a fun way. Osmo is currently used in more than 30,000 schools worldwide.
How does Osmo work?
Osmo uses the principle of augmented reality. The first step is to insert the iPad into the stand, followed by attaching the spotlight to the top of the tablet for sensing. You then choose a game or learning object in the app, and then the iPad display shows you instructions on what to do, build or draw. With real-time audio and visual feedback, children can learn by experimenting in a stress-free environment.
