A built-in tripod

The LUMIX DMC-G80 has an improved version of the optical stabiliser called the Dual IS 2. As the name suggests, this gyroscopic technology adjusts the optical lens shift (O.I.S. - Optical Image Stabilizer) and B.I.S. (Body Image Stabilizer, 5-axis) which moves the sensor. The two systems coordinate perfectly to deliver extremely accurate results. Therefore, blurring caused by camera shake is greatly suppressed, for sharp pictures and videos even in low light conditions or when shooting in motion. In other words, you can afford to extend the exposure time by up to 5 EV compared to a camera without a stabiliser. Moreover, the stabiliser works with wide-angle lenses as well as with telephoto lenses.

The camera boasts the new Venus Engine image processor and Digital Live MOS, which have gained a reputation for fantastic results in low lighting conditions. The Venus Engine image processor reproduces vibrant, impressive colour, making it easy to fine-tune the hue, saturation, and luminosity. Alternatively, you can choose your own contrast, sharpness, saturation, and noise reduction settings to suit the environment and your shooting style. Together with the sensor, the image processor produces superb quality photos with excellent detail, striking contrasts and great colour rendering.
