How the diet works

The recipe of this diet helps to slow down kidney failure. The lower content of some minerals prevents the formation of urinary stones. One of the active ingredients of the food is cranberries. They contain proanthocyanidins, which bind to the surface of bacteria and prevent them from attaching to the walls of the urethra. They help in preventing bacterial infections of the entire urinary system.

  • the food adjusts the pH of the urine and maintains it in the range of 6.3 - 6.5
  • this pH value prevents the formation of calcium oxalate, calcium phosphate and struvite stones

Recommended feeding time

  • From the start of the diet up to 6 months in case of chronic renal insufficiency.
  • Up to 6 months or lifelong in case of irreversible disorder of uric acid metabolism.
  • It is advisable to seek the opinion of a veterinarian before use or before extending the period of use.

Indications and contraindications

  • Indication:chronic renal insufficiency; prevention of struvite, calcium oxalate and calcium phosphate stones; diseases of the lower urinary tract.
  • Contraindications:must not be administered concomitantly with urine acidifiers. Do not use in the case of kittens, pregnant and lactating cats.

  • Composition:dehydrated pork protein, rice, corn, eggs, chicken fat, fish fat, hydrolysed animal protein, corn protein, vegetable fiber, linseed, taurine, MOS (mannanoligosaccharides), FOS (fructooligosaccharides), a mixture of herbs and algae (Ascophyllum nodosum, Echinacea purpurea, Urtica dioica) 0,36 %, betaglucans, cranberry extract 0.01%, additives (vitamins, trace elements, amino acids).
  • Analytical components:crude protein 28 % (dehydrated pork protein, eggs, hydrolysed animal protein, corn protein), 17 % crude fat, gross ash 5,7 %, crude fibre 2.2%, Ca 0.7%, P 0,64 %, At 0.4%, K 0,7 %, Mg 0,04 %, Cl 0.45%, S 0,10 %, omega-3 fatty acids 1.0%, omega-6 fatty acids 3.2%, sodium bicarbonate 0,8 %, lysine 1,7 %, methionine 0.64%.
