Pro Plan Veterinary Diets Feline NF Early Care 1.5 kg is a complete pelleted diet for adult cats designed to support kidney function in the early stages of chronic renal insufficiency. The formula with a reasonable high quality protein content, reduced phosphorus, added omega-3 fatty acids, potassium and antioxidants helps support the kidneys in the early stages of the disease. In addition, the medium high-quality protein content helps maintain lean body mass, while the added potassium reduces the risk of hypokalaemia in CRI. Thanks to the medium amount of amino acids, the food reduces the formation of toxic uraemic substances and thanks to omega-3 fatty acids can help reduce glomerular hypertension and inflammation. The added B vitamins then compensate for their loss in polyuria associated with CRI. Optimal fibre content supports proper stool consistency in cats with CRI.

Feed indication
Pro Plan Veterinary Diets Feline NF Early Care Dietary Granules are suitable for cats in the early stages of chronic renal insufficiency (IRIS stage 1 and 2) and also for temporary renal insufficiency. when administration for 2 to 4 weeks is recommended. The food helps to reduce the formation of urate stones while supporting cardiac function in cats with chronic heart failure.
Feeding instructions
Feed should always be given under the supervision of a veterinarian. Please note that any information provided about PURINA® PRO PLAN® Veterinary Diets is intended for dietary support of cats with the symptoms listed and is not a substitute for appropriate medical treatment. Veterinary diets should be administered under veterinary supervision.
For each additional kg of body weight, increase the feed ration by 15 g of pellets (even when combined with wet food).
The recommended period of use is initially up to 6 months. A gradual transition to a new diet may be particularly beneficial in cats with chronic renal insufficiency (CRI). Cats with CRI that remain unpalatable or anorexic should be examined for nausea and uremic gastritis. Warming the food to room temperature can increase palatability for cats with picky appetites.

Contraindications:
Not suitable for administration in diseases requiring high protein or phosphorus intake and for administration during pregnancy, lactation and growth.
