Royal Canin VD Cat Dry Renal Special is a complete diet food for cats over 6 months. Supports kidney function in case of chronic or acute renal failure,thanks to its low phosphorus content and high quality proteins. It reduces the formation of oxalate stones due to its low calcium and vitamin D content and its ability to alkalize urine. Supports liver function in case of chronic liver failure due to lower content of high quality proteins and high content of essential fatty acids. Due to the improved palatability, cats with renal insufficiency will accept this food more spontaneously. The specific aromatic profile with the selected shape of the granules help to stimulate the appetite of cats, especially in cases of adverse food reactions. The adapted energy content then compensates for the reduced appetite and the intake of smaller portions of food.

Kidney relief and digestive support
Royal Canin VD Cat Dry Renal Special is formulated with a lower phosphorus content. Reducing the phosphorus content is a necessary measure against worsening renal insufficiency. In chronic renal failure (CRF), the kidneys can no longer process phosphorus properly. Increased content of long-chain omega-3 fatty acids (EPA, DHA) counteracts the significant deterioration of glomerular filtration rate. Uremia is a risk factor for gastric ulcers and intestinal mucosal ulcers. The zeolite and FOS content of the feed reduces this risk.
