The Philips Hue Contact sensor helps you to keep your home safe. It can be placed on doors, windows, cabinets, safes and other places. You can easily stick it on any adhesive surface. You'll get an instant notification when you open the door, or you can set your lights to come on automatically. You can now monitor your home security from anywhere on your mobile device in real time. If you suspect unwanted entry, you can trigger a light alarm. You will also see any manipulation of the sensor in its history.
To use the product's smart features, you need to add the device to the manufacturer's app. For more information about the application (name, supported OS, supported languages) and how to add a device to the application, please refer to the product manual.
The Philips Hue Contact sensor also includes a small magnetic counterpart. The sensor itself can be placed on either side of the door - fixed or the side that opens. It will work in both cases. You then place the magnetic counterpart on the other side. Philips Hue Contact sensor is customisable. Like other Philips products, it's made with a sleek look in mind, which you can choose in white or black. The sensor can be mounted using the adhesive surface and screws, but these are not included. Its degree of protection corresponds to IP20.
