Polk Audio Signature S35Ce Black
The Polk Audio Signature S35Ce is a passive two-way centre speaker designed for home cinema and multi-channel audio setups. Its low-profile design allows it to be placed under a television without obstructing the screen. The speaker operates in a frequency range of 53Hz to 40kHz and uses a combination of multiple mid-bass drivers and a tweeter with a textile Terylene diaphragm. Connection is made via speaker terminals, and the device is intended for integration into systems with an AV receiver.

Construction and Drivers
The speaker utilises a slim horizontal construction suitable for the centre channel of a home cinema. It is equipped with one 1” tweeter with a textile Terylene diaphragm and six 3” mid-bass drivers. The crossover frequency is set at 2,500Hz. The enclosure uses a dual bass reflex to optimise airflow at low frequencies. The design allows for both vertical and horizontal placement. Its dimensions are 10.48 × 61.98 × 15.49cm and it weighs 6.35kg.
Connection and Operation
The speaker is equipped with a pair of gold-plated binding post speaker terminals. It connects to an amplifier or AV receiver. The recommended amplifier power per channel is in the range of 20 to 125W. The impedance is 8 Ohm and the sensitivity is 88dB at 1W/1m. The speaker is suitable for use as a standalone centre speaker in a home cinema system and is designed for integration into multi-channel setups, including Dolby Atmos and DTS:X configurations.
System Type
An active speaker is one that has a built-in amplifier, and to listen, you just need to connect it to a sound source, either wired or wirelessly. Passive speakers are more often referred to as speaker systems. They are intended for high-quality, loud, and dynamic listening in the comfort of your home and are not suitable for frequent transport. The main advantage of passive speakers is the ability to connect a variety of sources through a separate amplifier.
Number of Channels
The number of channels in speaker systems and home cinemas indicates the number of independent audio signals (speakers) and subwoofers, most often in the X.Y format (e.g., 2.0, 5.1). It denotes how many audio tracks are reproduced simultaneously, which determines the spatial experience and bass depth of the system, from basic stereo sound (2.0) to surround sound (5.1 and more).
Active speakers have a custom built-in amplifier (typically a PC speakers). Conversely, passive systems require an external amplifier, from which the sound goes to each speaker.
The number of channels refers to the number of independent audio signals that can be reproduced simultaneously. An example might be 2-channel stereo sound, where each channel represents one ear (left and right), or 5.1 channel surround sound, which has five full channels (front left, center, front right, rear left, rear right) and one channel for the subwoofer.

Dakujem.
