The heart of the Olympus PEN E-PL 9 is a 4/3" Live MOS sensor with a 16.1 MP resolution and a true TruePic VIII image processor that gives you fast image processing, a brisk autofocus and sequential shooting at 8.6 fps. In addition to JPEG, the data can be stored in a professional 12-bit RAW format.
Luxury Touchscreen Display
For ultimate comfort during shooting, Olympus has equipped this model with a 3"uplift display with a fine 1.04 million point resolution. The display is also touch-sensitive, so controlling the individual functions and focusing on the subject is very fast and intuitive. The screen can be tilted 180° upwards and 80° downwards so you will always be able to see what you're shooting, even when taking pictures of yourself
M.ZUIKO 14-42mm Lens
The camera includes an Olympus M.ZUIKO lens with a focal length of 14-42mm - ideal for most standard photography situations. The lens delivers superb picture quality across the entire image with an electronic zoom and fast, quiet operation. The manual focusing mechanism has been designed for smooth and accurate lens focus control.
3-axis Image Stabilisation
triple-axis mechanical image stabilisation helps you to take sharp images without a tripod in any situation. This powerful stabilisation added to the high sensitivity of the sensor ensures your night shots will be beautifully sharp and full of detail. The advanced autofocus, featuring 121 focal points, lets you perfectly focus on your subject with just a touch of the screen.
Creative Features
Included are 16 artistic filters, including HDR mode, which makes it possible to make photographs realistic with real-time effects. A large number of scenic settings are included, ranging from fully automatic to fully manual. Advanced Photo Mode is a new feature which offers you a number of preset photo genres with the option of embedded Art Filters.
High-Quality 4K Video
In addition to capturing high-quality photos, the Olympus PEN E-PL 9 also lets you record high-quality 4K video at 30fps. Videos are accompanied by stereo sound and can be cut and edited directly on the camera with the option of adding creative effects or easy clips.
Share Your Pictures Wirelessly
To easily present and transfer images, the camera is equipped with HDMI, micro USB, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless connectivity, as well as being compatibility with Eyefi cards. Images are stored on SD, SDHC, and SDXC memory cards. The rechargeable Li-ion battery will last for up to 350 shots.
