The RODE VideoMic Pro+ is a directional shotgun microphone. It has been designed to record audio from sources even at greater distances used by your camcorder, DSLR camera, portable audio recorder as the primary or reference microphone. The new version has inherited the cutting edge Rycote Lyre based shock mounting system and excellent microphone capsule but boasts a number of exciting enhancements and additional features.

Digital switching
An added feature of the microphone is the extensive digital switching capabilities that ensure you only capture the audio you want to significantly reduce the time required for subsequent editing. The basis is a 2-stage low frequency suppression filter that eliminates unwanted traffic noises and air conditioning noise. To improve the sound quality of the DSLR or SLR camera, a 3-position level control up to +20dB can be used. High frequency amplification highlights high frequencies, increasing the clarity and highlighting details of the recording. It can also remove unexpected high frequency pitches.
