Matt Edition – 5× less visible scratches
The matt surface of the SIEMENS EX61AHYC1E hob helps maintain its elegant appearance even with daily use. Minor scratches, which can occur from sliding pots and pans across the surface, are up to 5× less visible than on standard ceramic glass thanks to the matt finish. This keeps the hob looking sophisticated and clean for longer.
Matt Edition – a more fingerprint-resistant surface
While every touch is quickly visible on glossy surfaces, the Matt Edition's matt surface significantly reduces the visibility of fingerprints. Light is scattered more evenly across the surface, so the SIEMENS EX61AHYC1E iQ700 hob looks tidier even without constant polishing. You'll appreciate this especially with frequent cooking and daily use.
Matt Edition – easy cleaning without streaks
The matt finish also makes cleaning the surface easier. Wiping down the hob leaves fewer visible streaks and cloth marks, making maintenance quicker and more convenient. You can spend less time cleaning and more time cooking.
flexInduction Plus for maximum flexibility
The flexInduction Plus technology adapts to different cookware sizes and shapes. The flexible cooking zones can automatically expand in width or depth to accommodate extra-large pots, pans, griddle plates or teppanyaki. If one zone isn't enough, the hob activates more inductors for even heating.
touchSlider+ – power control at your fingertips
The touchSlider+ control lets you conveniently set the cooking zones' power with just a touch or slide of your finger. You can regulate the temperature precisely in half-step increments up to the maximum level of 9. The control is fast, intuitive and clear, so you are always in control of your cooking.
Home Connect for a smart home
With Home Connect support, you can connect the SIEMENS EX61AHYC1E iQ700 hob to your smart home and use other practical functions via the app. The combination of connected appliances, intelligent software and intuitive control opens up new possibilities for everyday cooking. The hob integrates easily into a modern home and makes daily use more enjoyable.
fryingSensor Pro – for frying without burning
The fryingSensor Pro function helps maintain a constant pan temperature. You can choose from 11 temperature options, and the intelligent sensor continuously checks the temperature to help prevent food from burning. This makes it easier to prepare meat, fish, vegetables, pancakes, and other dishes with more reliable results.
intelligent flexZones – automatic cookware adjustment
Intelligent sensors under the glass-ceramic surface automatically detect the shape and size of your pots and pans. They then combine or separate the cooking zones to best fit the cookware being used. If you move a pot during cooking, the settings are transferred to the new position, making flexible cooking significantly easier.
Favourites button for personal settings
The Favourites button lets you customise the hob to your habits. You can save frequently used settings or use it for connected smart home functions. Once connected to your Home Connect account, you can use the button to control things like the lighting or the fan of a compatible cooker hood.
World of recipes for new inspiration
The World of Recipes within Home Connect offers a wide range of inspiration for everyday and special occasion cooking. A selected recipe, in conjunction with the fryingSensor function, can send the appropriate settings directly to the SIEMENS EX61AHYC1E iQ700 hob. This makes preparing meals simpler, more reliable, and more convenient, even when trying new recipes.
fryingSensor Pro assistant with voice control
The fryingSensor Pro assistant also helps you select the correct temperature for a specific dish using voice control. Simply ask a compatible voice assistant, and the correct settings can be sent to the hob. This simplifies food preparation and helps reduce the risk of burning.
powerBoost – more power when you need it
The powerBoost function increases the power of the induction zone and shortens the heating time. It's useful, for example, for bringing water to a boil quickly or when cooking dishes where you don't want to waste time waiting. With higher power, you can spend less time heating and more time on the actual food preparation.
flexMotion – settings move with the cookware
The flexMotion function remembers the settings for individual pots and pans and transfers them when you move them to another part of the SIEMENS EX61AHYC1E iQ700 hob. So, if you need to move your cookware during cooking, the power and timer settings are automatically transferred to the new zone. This makes cooking smoother and eliminates the need for repeated adjustments.
Pause for a short break from cooking
If you're interrupted while cooking, the Pause function temporarily stops the heating and locks the control panel. It's useful for when you need to step away from the hob, quickly wipe the surface, or deal with an unexpected situation. You can resume cooking within 10 minutes without having to set everything up again.
Timer with automatic cooking zone switch-off
The timer with automatic switch-off helps you better manage food preparation times. After the set time has elapsed, the selected cooking zone turns off by itself, which reduces the risk of overcooking or burning. It's particularly useful for cooking pasta, rice, sauces, or dishes that require precise timing.
Remote diagnostics save time
In case of any issues, Home Connect enables remote diagnostics. With your permission, Siemens customer support can connect to your appliance online, check its status, and help determine the cause of the problem. If a service visit is necessary, the technician can arrive better prepared and with the required spare parts.
Remote monitoring via Home Connect
Using the Home Connect app, you can keep an eye on the status of your SIEMENS EX61AHYC1E iQ700 hob even when you're not in the kitchen. The app provides you with useful information about its operation and the completion of selected functions. Remote monitoring thus offers greater control and convenience in everyday use.
Spare parts available for up to 15 years
Siemens supports the long lifespan of its large home appliances with spare parts availability for up to 15 years. This makes it possible to repair the appliance if needed and extend its use. This is a practical advantage for households looking for a reliable long-term solution.

What is the difference between flexi, combi zone, and round inductors?
Round zones have a fixed size. A combi zone bridges two separate zones into one larger area. A flexi zone, on the other hand, adapts to the shape and size of the cookware anywhere on the surface.
Can I connect the hob to 400V?
Yes, most induction hobs can be connected to 400V (two phases), which is actually recommended for reaching full power.
Why can't I connect a hob with a power input of 4.6 kW to two phases?
A 4.6 kW power input is designed to run on a single, stronger phase. Splitting the load across two phases usually requires a higher total power rating, around 7 kW.
On your website, you state Voltage 220-240 V, can the hob be connected to a multi-phase connection?
Yes, the 220-240V figure refers to the voltage per phase. The hob can typically be connected to two phases (400V) as well.
Which hobs are designed for flush installation?
These are frameless models with polished edges, listed in the range as suitable for flush-mount installation.
The hob is noisy, it clicks loudly.
The clicking comes from switching relays or the power management function. It's a normal operating characteristic of induction technology, not a fault.
Is it possible to turn off the sound signals on the hob?
Yes, on Bosch and Siemens models this can be done in the "Basic Settings" menu (C2). Confirmation tones can be muted, but warning signals stay active regardless.
What is the smallest diameter of cookware that will work on an induction hob?
The minimum diameter depends on the size of the zone, and typically falls somewhere between 9 and 12 cm.
