Meet the cute Sphero indi educational robot in the shape of a toy car. It is designed for one to three young beginner programmers aged four and up, who will get a glimpse into the world of coding in a fun and easy-to-understand way. Through the game, children learn the basic principles of programming, build critical and abstract thinking, and learn to solve problems in a creative way. They learn the principles of cause and effect and gain experience with block programming. The indi robot receives driving instructions via a colour sensor and coloured tiles. Can you create such a path for him to reach his desired goal? Or will they get lost in the prepared maze?
Once your little one is coding with the coloured tiles, you can take it to the next level and control the Sphero indi robot with the Sphero Edu Jr app. It works on a simple drag-and-drop principle and is available for free for both iOS and Android devices or Chrome OS, as well as Kindle.
With the Sphero indi robot you will also receive 15 cards with various tasks and puzzles to learn how to control it. Then there's nothing stopping you from starting to create your own challenges to show off all the robot's abilities. You can change the colours and lighting options of the upper LED light. You can also customize the sounds it makes, or have it play part of a song when you cross a particular tile. And last but not least, thanks to the included sticker sheets, you can customize its look to your liking.
