The AUTHOR Limit 24 is a children's sports bike for a fast ride. It is designed for children between 125 and 140cm tall who want a fast and responsive bike. It is based on a lightweight aluminium frame and a rigid aluminium fork, which contribute to a total low weight of only 9.7kg. With 8 speeds and a Shimano derailleur, your child will enjoy riding on cycle paths, asphalt, and paved dirt roads. The simple single-chainring controls allow them to fully concentrate on the ride.

Lightweight Construction for a Sporty Ride

The core of the AUTHOR Limit 24 bike is a lightweight duralumin frame and a rigid fork made of the same material. This combination ensures a low weight and, at the same time, sufficient stiffness for efficient power transfer when pedalling. As a result, the bike responds instantly to the rider's input and encourages a sporty riding style. The single-chainring concept simplifies control, reduces the overall weight of the bike, and minimises maintenance requirements. This means the child doesn't have to worry about a front derailleur and can fully concentrate on the ride.

Clear Shifting for Every Terrain

The bike is equipped with an 8-speed drivetrain from Shimano. Gear changes are handled by a Shimano TOURNEY RD-TX800 rear derailleur, which works with a Shimano Revoshift twist shifter on the handlebars. This system is intuitive and easy for children to operate. The rear SHIMANO HG31 cassette offers a range of 11–34 teeth, which provides plenty of gears for riding on the flat as well as tackling shorter hills. This allows the child to maintain a smooth pace on different terrains without unnecessary effort.

Wheels and brakes are key for a safe and speedy ride. The Limit 24 model is fitted with 24-inch wheels with versatile KENDA Small Block Eight tyres that are 1.75 inches wide. Their tread is designed for fast rolling on asphalt and cycle paths, but also provides sufficient grip on paved gravel roads. Reliable stopping power is provided by simple and effective Tektro V-Brake rim brakes, which are easy to operate and do not require complex maintenance.
