Instructions for setting the Bertoo TSA trunk lock
A suitcase equipped with a combination lock is normally coded 0-0-0. The code can be freely modified. The number of code changes is not limited.
Begin to code the boot by pulling the running board sideways to release the locking latches. All the while, holding the trays one by one, we set the next digits of the code, making sure they all line up. After setting the desired code, we release the gangway and our suitcase is secured.
It is important to remember every set code, because without knowing the original code there is no other way to change it. If the code is forgotten, the only solution is to damage the lock.
TSA lock
The TSA lock system, marked with a red diamond symbol, is primarily designed to make it easy to open your luggage without damaging it during any inspection. At the same time, this check can be carried out more quickly. With this type of lock, TSA security officers can open and inspect your bag without having to destroy the lock. All TSA locks are identified by the code TSA001 to TSA007, which corresponds to the type of master key that is used to open this type of lock. Keys to TSA locks are not over-the-counter and are only available to TSA personnel. After checking your luggage, these staff are required to insert a check notice into your suitcase and the suitcase must be relocked.
