MIPS Technology and Safety Features
The helmet uses MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) technology, which provides increased protection during a fall. It consists of a slip-plane layer between the EPS shell and the inner padding. In the event of an angled impact, the MIPS system allows the helmet's shell to rotate by a few millimetres independently of the rider's head. This movement reduces the amount of rotational force that might otherwise be transferred to the brain. Safety is further enhanced by the extended profile protecting the nape and reflective elements that improve your visibility in low-light conditions.
In-mould Construction and Effective Ventilation
The helmet is built on an In-mould construction, which firmly fuses the outer polycarbonate shell with the inner shock-absorbing EPS foam liner. Thanks to this manufacturing process, the helmet is lighter and more durable than models with a bonded shell. The ventilation system consists of a total of 16 vents. Their placement is designed to efficiently draw in cool air and channel heat away from the head, which you will appreciate especially during challenging climbs or on hot summer days.
Comfort and Custom Fit
The Roc Loc Sport fit system ensures a proper and comfortable fit on your head. Using the dial at the back, you can adjust the helmet's size with one hand, even while riding. The inner pads are made from quick-drying Coolmax material, which also has an antibacterial treatment. The pads can be easily removed and washed. The helmet also includes a removable Snap-Fit 2 visor, which protects your eyes from the sun, rain, or branches on the trail.
