Freeze-dried fruit has a plethora of benefits. It's crispy, lasts a long time even at room temperature and tastes great. In addition, the freeze-drying process preserves a large number of vitamins and other beneficial substances contained in fresh fruit. Benefits of freeze-dried fruit
Lyophilization is a procedure in which the fetus is dried by frost shock.
- Nutrient retention: freeze-drying preserves most of the vitamins, minerals and antioxidants found in fresh fruit.
- Long shelf life: the fruit can be stored for longer periods without loss of quality or taste. This is great for those who want to have fruit available all year round, even when it's not in season.
- Better taste and texture than traditional dried fruit: to preserve the crispness of the raspberries after opening the bag, it is recommended to use food clips on the bags to limit the access of air moisture and to keep the bag in a dark and cool place. For example, a refrigerator can be a good help.
