In this mode, consumption drops to 6.39W, saving on operating costs. Under normal load with drives installed, the unit consumes 23.26W. Automatic drive shutdown also extends their lifespan.
Compatibility with Synology Drives
The manufacturer recommends installing genuine enterprise-class drives for stable operation. These drives undergo compatibility testing and show consistent performance under high load.
