Autofocus uses a newly developed OSD (Optimized Silent Drive) motor to ensure quiet operation. Thanks to the redesigned and optimized AF unit, operating noise is significantly reduced, while focusing accuracy and speed are enhanced to ensure the lens focuses reliably even when tracking moving objects.
The BBAR coating minimizes reflections on the lens surface, suppressing unwanted veils and flare and ensuring sharp, high-contrast images with high quality. The aperture of the Tamron AF 20mm f/2.8 Di III OSD MACRO 1:2 for Sony FE is designed to maintain a smooth, circular shape even when stopped down two stops from full aperture.
