RC model of Axial SCX 10 III Base Camp in 1:10 scale with 4×4 drive is designed for all fans of off-road driving, obstacle crossing and rock trials. The model features a chassis with C-shaped steel profiles that minimize chassis flexing and twisting. The chassis is fully equipped with ball bearings for smooth operation. The gears are metal on the drivetrain for high durability. Excellent suspension is provided by oil-filled aluminium shock absorbers for authentic performance. The model is fitted with licensed Black Rhino wheels with Falken Wildpeak tyres in R 35 compound, 116 × 47 mm, combining optimum grip with durability.

Axial SCX 10 III Base Camp 4WD and optimised geometry
It is factory assembled and contains a powerful Tazer 540 35 T DC motor powered by a 40 A Firma controller. The control is fitted with a waterproof servo with metal gears. The SLT 3 RC kit with reliable 2.4GHz transmission and all the setup you need. To operate the model, you only need a 2-3 S LiPo power battery with EC 3 or IC 3 connector and a suitable charger. The geometry of the SCX 10 III Base Camp 4WD front suspension is optimized to reduce the "bump steer" effect, i.e. the axle turning when crossing obstacles. While the 4-link rear suspension minimises torque-induced twisting under acceleration.
Single-speed gearbox, SCX10 III chassis and metal couplers
A new single-speed LCXU gearbox with metal gearing and a low centre of gravity was produced for the model. It is completely fitted with ball bearings, ensuring smooth running and long life. The internal gears can be switched to use a tuning wheelbase conversion kit. The model is equipped with a chassis reinforced with C-shaped steel profiles, which are connected by transverse bracing to increase the overall rigidity of the model, minimizing bending and twisting. This achieves precise steering, which is important for overcoming obstacles in trials. All the couplers on the model are metal, the end caps are on stainless steel ball studs for long lasting performance.
3 channel RC kit and oil dampers
The RC kit with SLT 3 transmitter and SR 315 receiver provides reliable control in the 2.4 GHz band. All basic functions can be set on the transmitter: Throttle and steering trim, maximum steering channel deflection limit, reverse, 50%, 75% and 100% engine power limiter. A free third channel hides the potential for upgrades, such as adding and controlling lights and winch. The receiver includes both SLT and DMSR protocols, so the transmitter can be upgraded later to a universal Spektrum transmitter with display. Aluminum shock absorbers are oil-filled for authentic real-car ride and handling. The spring preload can be easily adjusted using the nut on the body. For better performance, the shock absorbers are larger, or with a higher shock volume.
RHINO wheels and Falken Wildpeak tyres
Rhino dummy black discs are officially licensed. The discs are one-piece with imitation Beadlock ring. The 4.7" tall Falken Wildpeak R 35 compound tyres measure 116 × 47mm, providing more ground clearance and more grip on dirt, rocks and other off-road trails.
