RC model of Axial SCX10 III Base Camp 4WD in 1:10 scale with 4×4 drive is designed for all fans of off-road driving, obstacle crossing and rock trials, The model offers top driving characteristics without the need for additional features. The SCX10 III chassis has been stripped of other superstructures to leave only a pure chassis with excellent handling characteristics. A single-speed gearbox is used. The bodywork is fully finished and painted, but contains fewer details to keep the price affordable. The Axial SCX10 III Base Camp 4WD is factory assembled and features a powerful Tazer 540 35T DC motor powered by a 40A Firma controller. The control is fitted with a waterproof servo with metal gears. The SLT3 RC kit with reliable 2.4GHz transmission and all the settings you need. To operate the model, you only need a 2S-3S LiPo power battery with EC3 or IC3 connector and a suitable charger.

The model features a chassis with C-shaped steel profiles that minimize chassis flexing and twisting. The chassis is fully equipped with ball bearings. The gears are metal on the drivetrain, thus achieving higher durability. Suspension is provided by oil-filled aluminium shock absorbers. The model is fitted with licensed Black Rhino wheels with Falken Wildpeak tyres in R35 compound combining optimum grip and durability.

The new LCXU single-speed gearbox with metal gearing and low centre of gravity was chosen for the model. The housing is completely fitted with ball bearings to ensure smooth operation and long life. The internal gears can be switched to use a tuning wheelbase conversion kit. The geometry of the SCX10 III Base Camp 4WD front suspension is optimized to reduce the bump steer effect, i.e. the axle turning when crossing obstacles. The four-link rear suspension minimises twisting caused by torque under acceleration.

All couplers on the model are metal, the end caps are on stainless steel ball studs for long life. The aluminium shock absorbers are oil filled for authentic performance and real car-like handling. The spring preload can be easily adjusted using the nut. For better performance, the shock absorbers are larger, or with a higher shock volume.

The SLT3 transmitters and SR315 receiver provide reliable control in the 2.4 GHz band. All basic functions can be set on the transmitter, i.e. throttle trim and steering, max. steering channel deflections, reversal or motor power limiter 50%, 75% and 100%. The free third channel hides the potential for upgrades, you can add control of lights, winch etc. The receiver includes both SLT and DMSR protocols, making it possible to upgrade to a Spektrum universal display transmitter.

To put the model into operation, it is necessary to add a drive battery and an adequate charger for the drive battery. For normal riding, a 2-3 cell LiPo battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh fitted with an IC3/EC3 connector is recommended. For normal operation of the RC car you need tire glue and silicone oil for the shock absorbers and a set of Allen screwdrivers. Tyre adhesive is used to glue the tyres to the rim of the disc. Always ensure that the tyre is firmly glued to the wheel rim around its entire circumference! If the tyre is not glued all the way around, the tyre may tear. The tyre adhesive has a special formulation that is able to bond materials such as rubber or nylon, while at the same time making the adhesive flexible once it has set. Do not use regular instant glue - this is not flexible once it has set and cracks in the tyre will gradually form around the rims! For routine maintenance, screw adhesive is required. Screws screwed into metal material (e.g. screws in the motor, worm in the pinion) must be secured with this adhesive against spontaneous loosening.
