New challenges
In the tenth Carcassonne expansion, a travelling circus visits your landscape, bringing new challenges and opportunities to earn points. Let your teammates show off their skills in the chapitto and on the practice field, where they can create impressive living pyramids. If the principal is nearby, you can get even more points. This expansion cannot be played alone and requires the base game Carcassonne.
Three modules - chapitó, acrobats and principal
The Circus and Acrobats expansion consists of three modules - Show, Acrobats and Principal. If you include a card with a place for a tent, you first do the usual evaluation, then draw a performance token and place a tent on it. Later, when the marquee moves, the performance token is flipped and evaluated. Players whose teammates are on cards adjacent to the chaperone space score points according to the value of the token. Another element is acrobats. By placing the teammates on the acrobat training ground you can create a pyramid. Once the pyramid is complete, players can evaluate their acrobats and earn 5 points for each acrobat in the pyramid. The Principal counts as a standard teammate, but once the territory he stands on is closed, he scores 2 points for each acrobat practice area and chaperone space on his card and adjacent cards.
