Send guards to the towers
Send guards to the towers and protect your territory with the Towers and Thieves expansion for Carcassonne. In this expansion you become tower builders and guards who detect thieves and earn points for it. The expansion cannot be played alone, but can be combined with the base game and other expansions.
All new cards and figures can be combined with the base game
With 13 new landscape cards and 5 special tower cards, you will build towers and send your guards to them. The tower is built by placing one piece on the tower site card. The height of the tower determines its line of sight - a tower with a height of 1 piece has line of sight to the adjacent cards, a tower with a height of 2 has line of sight to two cards in a row, etc. If you place the card so that it is in view of the tower, you can place your companion on it as a guard. If there is already a guard on the tower, he is removed and you gain 2 points. The game takes on a new dimension with 12 thief symbol cards. When someone finishes such a card, all unoccupied towers grow by one piece. Then the guards on all towers are evaluated - each guard will bring as many points as indicated on the card with the thief symbol. If no towers are occupied, the thief steals a thief card.
