Supermarine Spitfire Mk. The IXe is not just a fighter - it's an air combat legend that you can now build as a realistic 1:32 scale model. In response to the growing power of the Luftwaffe and new German aircraft, the British aircraft industry created an improved version of the legendary Spitfire. This is how the Mk. IX - armed with the Merlin 61 engine, ready for high altitude combat and capable of facing the Bf 109G and Fw 190A. The IXe variant is one of the last wartime versions - improved design, better armed and capable of carrying bombs. Used by many Allied squadrons until the last days of World War II, it remained a symbol of steadfastness and technical excellence. The kit is more than just a model - it's a realistic model version of one of the most distinctive fighting machines in history, designed with aviation enthusiasts, modelers and collectors in mind. The set combines perfectly with other vehicles and aircraft from the Historical Collection WWII series - together they create a real museum in miniature or elements of a monumental diorama of the battle.

Spitfire Mk. IX with serial number EN199, currently housed at the Malta Air Museum, is painted in desert camouflage, a reference to its service with 81 Squadron in North Africa in 1943. The aircraft was piloted by Wing Commander R. Berry and his initials were used as code letters on the plane. EN199 has a rich operational history and has participated in operations in North Africa and Malta. After the end of the war, the aircraft was handed over to the Maltese Air Scouts. It was exhibited outside from 1947 to 1974. Unfortunately it was damaged by vandalism, weather conditions and partial dismantling. The remains of the aircraft were collected and stored. In the 1990s it was handed over to a group of volunteers who, using new and salvaged parts from all over Malta, completed its restoration in 1995 over a period of two and a half years.

You don't have to be a historian or professional modeler to appreciate the value of the kit. It is an excellent choice for both younger enthusiasts and adult collectors - for anyone who wants to feel the pride of building with soul and purpose. Spitfire Mk. IXe is more than a toy - it's an educational and emotional experience that gives the joy of creation and discovery. Once assembled, it becomes an elegant addition to a shelf, display case or table. Join the world of enthusiasts - and build your own Spitfire, just like other aviation legends were built in the past.
