Hobbyzone Carbon Cub 2 1.3m SAFE RTF Basic

Hobbyzone Carbon Cub 2 1.3m SAFE RTF Basic
RC model Hobbyzone Carbon Cub 2 1.3m SAFE RTF Basic for flying lessons is an ideal school model aircraft with SAFE, AS3X, flight modes and Spektrum DXS DSMX transmitter with telemetry. The model is equipped with exclusive SAFE (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology, so you can take advantage of the flight envelope protection. The SAFE system ensures the limit values of pitch and roll or sink. The model cannot be brought to extreme flight positions and when the control stick is returned to neutral, the model will level off into level flight. And you can instantly return to steady flight with Panic Recovery (Panic button) if you lose your orientation or get out of an unusual flight position. The large wheels allow you to take off and land on a variety of surfaces, including grass, way, of dirt paths or pavement, or you can install optional floats, to be able to take off from the water - increasing the versatility and possibilities of the model. In the package you will find a Ready-To-Fly (RTF) model, with electronics installed and a Spektrum DXS transmitter ready to go.

Durable, powerful and ready for any terrain
The Carbon Cub 2 is equipped with a 30A AC controller with telemetry, which provides the DXS transmitter with drive battery voltage data. In case you would use a compatible Spektrum G2 transmitter, you could have a range of telemetry data, related to real-time system performance, including engine speed, of the current, battery voltage and more via the Spektrum AirWare menu. The addition of exclusive Spektrum Smart LiPol battery and SMART charger components, makes it easy to charge correctly and safely

RC transmitter Spektrum DXS and SMART telemetry
The Spektrum DXS 7-channel RC transmitter supports Spektrum Smart technology for battery telemetry of Smart controllers and Smart LiPol batteries. Thanks to the possibility of programming via computer or mobile devices, you can easily upload ready-made settings to the transmitter. Without a cable, use the transmitter programming to easily set up channel reversal and mode change. The transmitter features full range, DSMX interference immunity, advanced telemetry and proven transmitter ergonomics. Transmitter registration and updates are possible via PC with optional USB programming cable (available separately). The transmitter is configured to provide the benefits of SAFE technology with compatible SAFE-equipped receivers. You can enjoy all the benefits of Smart technology - use a Smart battery with your model and telemetry data such as current, voltage, temperature and speed will be sent directly to your transmitter in real time. The DXS transmitter included in the set only indicates the voltage of the drive battery. The transmitter has 4 LEDs on the front of the cabinet under the transmitter battery voltage indicator to keep you up to date on the flight battery status. Four green LEDs light up when the flight battery is fully charged, 3 indicate a voltage between half and full charge, 2 half charged battery and one LED when the battery is almost discharged.

Advanced features of the Carbon Cub 2
The model was based on the Cub Crafters aircraft, which is equipped with the exclusive and innovative SAFE technology with the possibility of installing an optional GPS module. If you choose the optional GPS module, you'll have access to advanced features such as AutoLand AutoLand, Holding Pattern Circling and Virtual Fence Virtual Fence, that make it easy for virtually any novice pilot to have a successful first flight. But there are other model options, additional wing turbulators, large Tundra tires and optional flaps and floats. This makes the model very versatile, even for advanced flying and further development of piloting skills.

Supplied with complete electronics and drive installed
The model is made of strong and very durable Z-Foam. The model excels in a calm flight thanks to a wing with a semi-symmetrical profile, flight is therefore reasonably slow and very stable. Carbon Cub 2 comes with all electronics and drive installed, you only need to add a LiPol battery with charger. The battery is stored at the bottom under a plastic cover and is held in place by Velcro.

Flight features to help beginners on their first flight
Panic Recovery
If you ever lose control of the aircraft in more advanced flight modes, simply switch to beginner mode and release the control stick. SAFE Plus technology automatically returns the aircraft to level flight.
Beginner Mode
Beginner, it has limited elevator and aileron roll, when the stick is released to neutral the model settles in a horizontal position, the engine speed is regulated according to climb or descent and there is also take-off and landing assistance.
Advanced Mode
Advanced mode, has more tilt allowed but will not cause the model to roll over on its back or fall. Flight positions are limited to approximately 60° of bank. There is already great freedom of control and minimal flight corrections are made. When flying above 15 m, the automatic alignment of the model to the horizontal position after releasing the stick is not functional.
Mode Expert
In Expert flight mode, the control is completely free without corrections and without flight position restrictions. You can even fly on your back and perform acrobatic manoeuvres.
AutoLand - assisted landing
When activated and the button is pressed, the AutoLand assisted landing feature is activated and the Carbon Cub 2 autonomously lands at the initialization point at takeoff. You can interrupt the automatic landing at any time by simply pressing a button to avoid obstacles or adjust the heading, or if nothing is threatening, let the system work to guide the model to a safe landing. Once you gain more confidence, you can take more control and eventually learn to land unassisted.
Holding Pattern (circling over the take-off point) and Virtual Fence
The handy exclusive SAFE Plus feature essentially allows you to "pause" your flight so that when activated and a quick button press, the aircraft automatically returns to a position above the GPS start point and circles until the command is cancelled. It's a great way to safely hand over control to a friend or get visual contact back if you don't have control and don't know the model's location. It's very easy to let the model fly too far, but with the Virtual Fence you don't have to worry anymore because it creates an invisible boundary that the model won't cross. When it reaches this limit, it automatically turns and flies back, then flaps its wings to indicate that control is restored.
Optional module, LAS landing sensor
The Spectrum LASse landing sensor module is easily installed in the model and can then provide automatic assistance during landing. Helps inexperienced pilots land by recognizing height above terrain for precise alignment and minimizing or completely eliminating bouncing (works on most surfaces to ensure a safe landing).
Sophisticated design
The large balloon wheels of the Carbon Cub 2 can safely absorb the uneven and unpaved surface of a take-off area that most models of this size could not handle. The wide 3-wheel landing gear has a steerable nose wheel, making take-off and landing very easy. Functional flaps are an option for impressive take-off and landing at short distances. However, the function requires a 7-channel Spektrum transmitter, servos and extension cables (sold separately). Floats are an option for converting to seaplane and flying on the water. Installation takes only a few minutes and all necessary accessories are included in the kit and float kit (sold separately).
