Stack worms in the board game Piatnik Crazy Worms

The Piatnik Crazy Worms board game brings fun and variety to everyday life. The game is easy to explain and play, yet offers interesting tactical possibilities. You can play it classically against each other or cooperatively. Whoever last saw a worm takes a worm tile from one of the three piles in the middle of the table and tries to place it next to the starting tile. The rule of thumb is that it must be placed directly next to an already placed tile, never screen sizely. The colours of all adjacent worm pieces must match. There are four different suits in total, plus a coloured unicorn worm that serves as a wild card.

Game rules

A worm can have only one head and one tail. Once a tile is placed, it is the next player's turn. But it's not that simple - the worm pieces are printed on both sides. Even though both sides show the same parts of the worm, the colours change. Yellow becomes blue on the back and vice versa. The same applies to red and green. Quick thinking and good decision making is required as the pieces cannot be returned once they are taken. Once all worm tiles are placed, scoring begins. Any worm consisting of at least two tiles and with a head, tail or both scores points. However, points are only awarded to the player whose colour appears most often in a given worm - that's what makes it so tricky. The player with the highest number of points wins. In the team version, the players are divided into two groups, red-green playing against blue-yellow. Team members sit across from each other and work together. At the end, the team members' scores are added up to determine the winning team.
