It delivers a combined transfer speed of up to 2976Mbps and uses DL/UL MU-MIMO and DL/UL OFDMA technology to optimise data streams. Thanks to its high-gain directional antennas with a 120° horizontal and 30° vertical beamwidth, it effectively covers large outdoor areas. Integration into the Omada SDN platform enables centralised management of the entire network.

Performance and coverage with Wi-Fi 6
The access point operates on the dual-band Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) standard, providing combined transfer speeds of up to 2976Mbps (2402Mbps on the 5GHz band and 574Mbps on the 2.4GHz band). To increase network efficiency under high load, it integrates DL/UL OFDMA and 2×2 DL/UL MU-MIMO technologies. Four built-in high-gain directional antennas (2×8dBi for 2.4GHz, 2×10dBi for 5GHz) and Beamforming technology direct the signal towards connected devices. The 120° horizontal and 30° vertical beamwidth optimises coverage for specific outdoor scenarios, such as car parks or open spaces.
Capacity and network technologies
The device supports Omada Mesh technology, which simplifies the creation of a large wireless network without the need to lay additional cables. The 802.11k/v/r (Seamless Roaming) standard maintains a stable connection for moving clients, such as AGVs or workers with handheld scanners. The access point supports over 250 connected devices simultaneously and covers a distance of over 200m on the 2.4GHz band and over 500m on the 5GHz band. Features like Band Steering automatically move dual-band devices to the faster 5GHz band, while Airtime Fairness and Load Balancing optimise performance in densely populated networks.
Advanced security and access management
The wireless network is protected by modern encryption and a suite of advanced security features. Support for WPA3-Personal and WPA3-Enterprise standards provides robust protection against password breaches. Captive Portal authentication is used for guest access management. Administrators can also use tools such as Access Control, MAC address filtering, wireless client isolation to prevent communication between guests, SSID-to-VLAN mapping, and Rogue AP Detection.
Management and connectivity options
This access point fully integrates into the Omada Software Defined Networking (SDN) platform, which unifies the management of access points, switches, and gateways. Management can be done via a hardware, software, or cloud-based Omada controller, a mobile app, or a classic web interface, including SSH and SNMP. The rugged IP68-certified chassis and operating temperature range of -30°C to 70°C handle demanding outdoor conditions.
