The TP-Link TL-FC111A-20 megabit media converter with a metallic RJ45 and an optical SC/UPC connector is used to transmit data over a fibre optic cable up to a distance of 20km. It supports WDM technology and allows you to multiplex optical signals operating at different wavelengths using a single fibre, which saves half the cost of cable deployment. Specifically, the TL-FC111A-20 sends data at a wavelength of 1,550nm and receives data at a wavelength of 1,310nm. Thanks to its compact dimensions, the converter can be placed anywhere.
