High-Speed Ports and Performance
The switch is equipped with a combination of ports for various network needs. It includes four 2.5Gbps RJ-45 ports, which increase throughput for connected devices such as workstations or access points. It also offers twelve standard 1Gbps RJ-45 ports. Two 10Gbps SFP+ ports provide backbone connections to servers, network storage, or other switches. The total switching capacity of 672Gb/s ensures smooth operation even when all ports are under full load.
Advanced Network Management and L3 Features
The device supports both L2 and L3 features, allowing for detailed network management. Thanks to support for inter-VLAN static routing, data flow can be efficiently managed without needing an additional router. Features like VLAN are used for network segmentation, while QoS (Quality of Service) prioritises traffic for critical applications. Link aggregation (LACP), IGMP snooping for optimising multicast traffic, and security mechanisms like ACL or Port Security are also available. All configuration is handled centrally via the UniFi Controller software.
Etherlighting Technology and Silent Operation
The switch stands out with its innovative Etherlighting technology for visual port management. This feature uses light indicators to display information about speed, assigned VLAN, or connection status directly on the ports, making it easier to identify and resolve issues. Its fanless design ensures completely silent operation, making the device suitable for office environments. Installation flexibility is enhanced by the option for desktop, wall, or rack mounting using separately available accessories.
