The batteries use nickel-metal hydride technology, which has the advantage over standard batteries of offering high capacity and very low self-discharge. These batteries are rechargeable, so you can use them again and again with a compatible charger.

Conventional rechargeable batteries lose their charge when not in use. However, these batteries feature unique VARTA Ready2Use technology, which minimises this issue, allowing them to retain 80% of their original capacity even after a year in storage. They come pre-charged by the manufacturer, so they are ready to use straight out of the box.
