This forged one-handed axe has been designed especially for scenic sword fights or for decorative purposes. The axe has been forged and is very well-balanced. The handle is made of ash wood. The Vikings used their axes often for fighting, because not all of them had to right to carry a sword. The weapon blade is made of spring steel: CSN 14260 / DIN 1.7103 (6% C, 0.5-0.85 Mn, 1.3-1.6% Si, 0.8-1.05 Cr). The blade is hardened and then fired in forges. The hardness of the blades ranges from 53-55 HRC.
