WD Red Pro 2TB
WD Red hard drive is the world's first model, which was developed exclusively for NAS systems. The unit is tested to be useable in continuous operation (24 × 7) in the home or small business NAS with one to five positions (for larger systems NAS is better to use enterprise drives - enterprise). The basis of everything is up to 35% increase in the statistical indicators MTBF (mean time between failures) that indicates the median time in hours, after which it is expected that the equipment will work flawlessly.

The WD Red hard drive is the world's first model to be developed exclusively for NAS systems. NASware in Version 3.0
NASware 3.0 technology is the result of our efforts to provide the best NAS. It includes further optimising the WD Red series for NAS environments and is now supported by the 6-8 position NAS. The WD Red drive also now supports small NAS systems with 1-8 positions and offers greater compatibility and reliability thanks to NASware 3.0. The WD Red series is designed for next generation, 8-position NAS systems with a total capacity of 48TB.
Professional Solutions
The WD Red series is designed for small and midsize businesses, and has now been expanded to WD Red Pro, which is designed for medium to large NAS environments with 8-16 positions. WD Red drives will help to reduce energy costs. Thanks to innovative technology, both energy consumption and operating temperature is even lower than before.
