Other Hard Disk Features
The HDD boasts a unique design. Inside the enclosure there is a mechanism with moving platters, complete with hard disk heads that facilitate reading and writing of data. These mechanical parts are admittedly more sensitive to shocks, but this weak point is well-compensated by an excellent price/storage capacity ratio. The important criterion that determines the speed of a hard disk is RPM - the number of revolutions per minute. With the WD Ultrastar DC HC570 22TB SATA SE (0F48155), you can look forward to 7200 rev/min revolutions per minute. This is great news for people who demand more from their devices, for example video editors, graphic artists, people who play PC games, and everybody else who deal with large amounts of data. System responsivity and overall stability is also impacted the embedded buffer memory known as cache. The Western Digital HDD features a 512 MB cache that keeps the last written data for their speedy reading.
Connecting the Western Digital HDD
If you want to install the WD Ultrastar DC HC570 22TB SATA SE (0F48155) in your PC or other device, you need a 3.5" slot. All communication with the computer is done through the SATA III interface with a standard speed of 6 Gbit/s. The technology is one of the most popular HDD data transfer options available and delivers a throughput of 600 MB/s.
