8K 360° DJI Avata 360 Drone with Advanced Imaging
The DJI Avata 360 is a compact 360° drone with a 1" sensor and an advanced imaging system that offers both 360° and Single Lens modes. It allows you to shoot high-resolution 8K video at 60fps and photos up to 120MP. It detects obstacles in all directions, which you'll appreciate during dynamic filming. LiDAR technology and integrated propeller guards increase operational safety. Video transmission is handled by the O4+ system, and there's also the Spotlight Free function for easy sharing of footage. Videos can then be edited in the DJI Fly and DJI Studio apps. The front lens is replaceable, and the 42GB of internal storage provides plenty of space without needing a microSD card. High-speed Wi-Fi 6 supports data transfers of up to 100Mb/s. The drone can stay in the air for up to 23 minutes and reaches a maximum speed of 64.8km/h.
The DJI Avata 360 drone with its 1-inch image sensor allows you to capture high-quality footage.¹ Shoot 360° videos in 8K resolution at 60FPS with HDR or take photos with a resolution of up to 120MP¹¹ with a single touch.² The 2.4μm pixels, combined with the 1" sensor and HDR technology, capture both light and dark areas with a high level of detail. In post-production, individual shots can be cropped as desired to create multiple outputs from a single recording. The drone allows for seamless switching between 360° and Single Lens modes.⁴
The quadcopter features the O4+ video transmission system, which ensures a stable, high-quality live feed for a smoother flight. You can take advantage of the flexible control options for capturing footage and using the Easy Acro function. DJI O4+ transmission is highly resistant to interference and supports 1080p resolution at 60fps with a range of up to 20km.⁵
The DJI Avata 360 unmanned aircraft offers various control options. The RC 2 remote controller is available, or Goggles 3/N3 in combination with the RC Motion 3 controller, which deepens the FPV flight experience with a 360° view. The shot moves along with the movement of your head. Control via the DJI RC Motion 3 is also suitable for beginners. The dual-channel colour video transmission provides an overview of the surroundings.
The safety of the DJI Avata 360 drone is ensured by several protective features. A LiDAR located at the front helps to effectively detect obstacles, while the obstacle sensing function for night filming³ in 360° mode is also useful for dynamic tracking. Integrated propeller guards further contribute to safer operation.
The unmanned aerial vehicle offers various flight and object tracking modes for enhanced control:
Footage captured with the compact drone can be easily exported in its original form and then edited in post-production—for example, by changing the composition from any perspective. You can also adjust the flight direction, add creative spins, the Asteroid effect, or a dolly zoom. You can also export the unedited video exactly as it was shot. Editing 360° footage is intuitive and flexible.
Advanced algorithms and the DJI Fly and DJI Studio apps make tracking people, vehicles, boats, and other objects very simple. In the DJI Fly app, just move your phone to find the ideal angle, lock it, and then export the shot with a single tap. In both apps, you can easily add camera movements and completely edit the video. Thanks to a plugin, 360° footage can also be edited directly in Premiere.
* All videos and images on this page were shot by professionals using the DJI Avata 360 in strict compliance with local laws and regulations and have been edited in post-production. All videos and images are for reference only. Always adhere to local laws and regulations and ensure the drone has the appropriate certifications and flight authorisations before flying.
** All data on this page was collected using a production model DJI Avata 360 in a controlled test environment. Actual experience may vary depending on the environment, usage, and firmware version.
*** All images, videos, and screen-displayed content on this page related to the product itself are for reference only. The actual product features (including but not limited to appearance, colour, and size) and screen-displayed content (including but not limited to backgrounds, UI, and illustrations) may vary.
¹ Available only in 360° mode. When capturing footage in 360° mode, each of the two DJI Avata 360 CMOS sensors has an image area equivalent to a 1-inch CMOS sensor with a 4:3 aspect ratio.
² Available only in 360° mode.
³ Conditions for enabling omnidirectional obstacle sensing at night: The front, back, left, right, or top of the drone must be within range of surfaces with a recognisable texture and a light intensity exceeding 1 lux. Similarly, the ground surface below the drone must be textured and diffusely reflective with a reflectivity above 20% (e.g., walls, trees, or people), also under light conditions with a light intensity greater than 1 lux. Do not fly the drone in adverse weather conditions such as strong winds (wind speed of 10.7m/s or more), snow, rain, thunderstorms, or fog. Do not fly the drone at an altitude of 5,000m or more above sea level. Do not fly the drone in environments where the temperature is below –10°C or above 40°C. Do not take off from moving objects such as cars or boats. Do not fly near reflective surfaces such as water or snow. Otherwise, the camera system may not function correctly. The camera system may not function correctly in low-light environments. Always fly with caution and do not allow the drone to enter Attitude mode. DO NOT fly near areas with magnetic or radio interference. Known sources of magnetic or radio interference include Wi-Fi hotspots, routers, Bluetooth devices, high-voltage lines, large power distribution stations, radar stations, mobile base stations, and broadcasting towers. When taking off from a desert or beach, prevent sand from entering the drone. Fly the drone in open areas away from groups of people. Buildings, mountains, and trees can block the GNSS signal and affect the onboard compass's functionality. Omnidirectional obstacle sensing is effective only in 360° mode on surfaces with recognisable texture and under light conditions of 1 lux or more, and it is not available when entering the playback interface. In Single Lens mode, only front obstacle sensing is supported.
⁴ In Single Lens mode, recording video in a 4:3 aspect ratio is only supported when using Goggles 3/N3 paired with RC Motion 3 or FPV Remote Controller 3.
⁵ Measured in an outdoor, open environment, free of interference, and in compliance with FCC regulations. A transmission distance of 20km is only available under FCC standards; in mainland China, the SRRC standard applies with a maximum transmission distance of 10km. The data above shows the farthest communication range for one-way, non-return flights. Always pay attention to in-app notifications during your flight.
⁶ An RC 2, RC-N2, or RC-N3 remote controller is required to use the ActiveTrack 360° function. We recommend using ActiveTrack 360° in an open environment. For information on unsupported scenarios or scenarios that may interrupt recording, please refer to the user manual. In complex environments with many obstacles, be cautious when using automatic mode to ensure flight and personal safety.
⁷ Sold separately.
⁸ The values shown were measured using internal storage or a high-speed microSD card in a laboratory environment with low interference in countries/regions that support both 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz frequencies. Actual download speeds may vary.
⁹ Measured at a constant speed of 21.6km/h in a windless environment at sea level, with the camera in Photo mode, from 100% battery level to 0%. The data is for reference only. Always pay attention to live view notifications during your flight.
¹⁰ A DJI 65W Portable Charger or DJI 100W USB-C Power Adapter is required for parallel charging. The hub supports parallel charging with an input power of 65W or higher. Otherwise, the batteries are charged sequentially, with the least charged battery being prioritised.
¹¹ For 120MP/16K 360° photos, the resolution is 15,520×7,760 (120MP) in JPEG format and 15,360×7,680 (118MP) in DNG format.
