Adult and Kids Electric Toothbrush
Our offer includes electric toothbrushes for children and adults. Find out how they differ from each other.
Electric toothbrush for adults
Electric toothbrushes for adults adapt to adult teeth. You will be delighted with the many modes and functions that make brushing your teeth easier. As a rule, they have a different design compared to children's toothbrushes and are more elegant.
Kids' Electric Toothbrush
Children's electric toothbrushes bring dental hygiene that is more fun to children from 3 years of age, but above all, precision in cleaning. In addition, they are adapted to children's small teeth so that the teeth are perfectly clean and smooth. The electric toothbrush for kids is available in eye-catching colours and different motifs to keep the little ones interested.
Electric Toothbrush - Two Basic Types
Electric toothbrushes are available in two basic versions, namely oscillating-rotary and sonic.
Oscillating-rotary electric toothbrushes can reliably clean teeth and remove plaque. However, the high intensity of the brush easily disturbs the gums and is therefore not suitable for people with sensitive gums and teeth.
Sonic electric toothbrushes work on the principle of vibration and dynamic fluid flow between the teeth, gum line and interdental spaces. The light vibrations are also suitable for people suffering from sensitive teeth.
Smart electric toothbrush guarantees properly cleaned teeth
Smart electric toothbrushes are suitable for anyone who wants to take maximum care of their dental health. They actively supervise the entire brushing process through an app on your smartphone. If a deficiency is detected, it will alert you immediately. The smart electric toothbrush is available in both sonic and rotary versions.

What Do Electric Toothbrush Heads Look Like?
An electric toothbrush can have either a classic oval head or a round head, depending on the specific type.
The head of the oscillating-rotary toothbrush is round, and its bristles surround each tooth individually. You can choose between those that reach between the teeth or those with more ability to whiten teeth.
The head of the sonic toothbrush resembles a classic manual tooth brush. When brushing, it swings quickly but slightly sideways and up and down to simulate the movement of a manual tooth brush.
How Does an Electric Toothbrush Work?
Oscillating-rotary and sonic electric toothbrushes work on a different principle – each uses a different motion.
The oscillating-rotary electric brush performs 360° movement and semicircular movements, where the head rotates at a speed of up to 10 000 movements per minute. Some types also perform a pulsating motion.
The sonic electric toothbrush works by agitating the bristles using ultrasonic frequencies to reach even hard-to-reach places. The bristles reach speeds of up to 40 000 vibrations per minute.
Rotary-oscillating electric toothbrushes express power in terms of the number of rotations or the number of pulsations. In contrast, the number of vibrations per minute is decisive for sonic toothbrushes.
Rotary and Sonic Electric Toothbrush – Different Teeth Cleaning Techniques Apply to Each
When choosing, keep in mind that both rotary and sonic electric toothbrushes need to follow the correct cleaning technique, which differs for both types.
Correct brushing technique for a rotary electric toothbrush
You can use the oscillating-rotary brush to clean the teeth only, not the gum and tooth edge. It prevents the gums and cervixes from being damaged and also from dirt and plaque. Thanks to the rotations, you only need to place the brush head at a 45° angle to the teeth when cleaning.
Proper brushing technique for a sonic electric toothbrush
Unlike rotary toothbrushes, it rides on the edge of the gums and teeth when brushing. The brush head easily reaches the interdental spaces and the sides of the teeth and cleans them thoroughly. For complete and perfect plaque cleaning, move the sonic brush downwards.
With different modes, electric toothbrushes allow you to do more than brush your teeth
Modern electric toothbrushes now offer several cleaning modes. In addition to the standard 2-minute mode, there is also a thorough cleaning mode that lasts 3 minutes. The more advanced electric tooth brush also allows you to polish teeth, sensitive and gentle cleaning of sensitive areas or even gum massage.
Best Electric Toothbrush Offers a Few Extra Features
If you want to get the best electric toothbrush, think about the other important features offered.
3D technology is used to remove plaque by using pulsating movements to disrupt it effectively.
Pressure sensor alerts you when you put too much pressure on the tooth brush – too much pressure causes enamel destruction.
Bluetooth allows you to connect to a mobile app to get feedback when brushing your teeth.
Battery indicator alerts you when the battery needs a recharge with a light signal.
Timer informs you when you reach the 2 minutes recommended by dentists for teeth brushing.

Electric toothbrush replacement heads should be changed after approximately 2-3 months of use – they are either included in the package or must be purchased separately. Some electric toothbrushes are equipped with intelligent filaments that indicate when it is time for a replacement.
For Perfect Teeth, Add an Electric Flosser to Your Electric Toothbrush
Electric flossers are great helpers for maintaining healthy interdental spaces without irritation. Thanks to the ergonomic shape and optimal pressure, cleaning will take no more than 60 seconds of your time. They are especially suitable for people with sensitive gums, for whom interdental brushes or dental floss are too thick.
